Proper fit is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness, comfort, and leakage prevention of an adult diaper. Here are some general guidelines for achieving a proper fit.
Fold the diaper long ways after unfolding it. Keep the front of the diaper folded in on itself as you pull it up between your legs, ensuring that it forms a soft V or U shape in the front. You need to create a deep valley for your genitals and urine. The diaper should look smooth up front; the last thing you want is a diaper camel toe. Diapers need to fit like granny panties to give you the best level of protection, not like bikini panties or thongs. There is no shame in going up a size if it protects you better.
The diaper should fit snugly around your waist and/or hips without being overly tight or constrictive. It should have a secure and comfortable fit, allowing for freedom of movement while minimizing the risk of leaks. Ensure that the leg openings of the diaper are properly positioned and snug against your thighs. They should fit well without causing discomfort or leaving gaps that may lead to leakage. Many adult diapers have adjustable features, such as hook-and-loop tabs or adhesive tapes, to allow for constant refitting. Make use of these features to ensure a secure and tailored fit around your waist and leg openings.
1: Throw away all of your underwear (but keep your bras if you’re a lady!). This leaves you nothing but diapers to wear as underwear, and as we all know, wearing nothing down there can lead to some irritation. Not good for princess parts! Throwing away all of your undies ensures that you’ll have to wear diapers, and nothing but diapers. If you want to truly commit to this, then do that, or if you’re on the fence about it and want to try it out, stash all of your undies in a backpack or something that you can lock or put a lock on, then give that key to your bestie and have them not give it back until a week, two weeks, a month, or however long you feel like! 1a. Buy a large supply of diapers. I chose to go with the Abena M4 for starters, and have kept with it all the way through. For when you start dribbling (see below!), you can switch to a thinner diaper, like the cloth backed Abena M2. For lighter days, I’ve found that tena makes some decent diapers, same with Tranquility/Select...
