If you're struggling with incontinence and finding it challenging to trust your diaper, here are some steps you can take to build confidence and develop trust in your diaper:
Research and choose the right diaper for your body shape and your needs. Take the time to research and select a diaper that suits your specific needs in terms of absorbency, fit, comfort, and discretion. Look for products with positive reviews and features that align with your requirements. Buy diapers for specific situations, such as going out in public, work, sleeping at home, and more.
Begin by wearing your diaper in a safe and comfortable environment, such as at home, where you can gradually get accustomed to the feeling and experience of wearing and wetting it without fear of judgment or embarrassment. Once you’ve found out what each diaper can and cannot take, engage in various activities while wearing it to test its effectiveness and your comfort level. This can include walking, sitting, lying down, and performing light exercises. By doing so, you can gain confidence in the diaper's ability to contain leakage. Diapers will break down with heat, friction, time, movement, and more, so thoroughly test each product to its breaking point.
Pay attention to how well the diaper performs in different situations and evaluate its absorbency and leakage control. Keeping track of its performance can help alleviate concerns and build trust over time. If you still feel uncertain about relying solely on a diaper, consider using additional protective measures, such as waterproof pads, liners, boosters, plastic panties, and more. All of these can provide an extra layer of security and help build trust gradually.
Remind yourself that using a diaper is a practical and responsible choice for managing your new needs. Practice positive self-talk to reinforce self-acceptance and reduce any feelings of shame or embarrassment associated with wearing a diaper. Building trust takes time and everyone's journey down the path of diaper dependency is unique. Be patient with yourself and celebrate small successes along the way.
I know it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. Terribly sorry about that! I assure you that I haven’t deviated from the challenge, nor have I touched a potty anywhere at any time. This challenge started on July 26, 2021, which was 3 years, 10 months, and 13 days ago. I’m so close to my 4 year anniversary! Currently, the challenge ends on July 10, 2026, but I don’t think you guys will let me stop. (Pretty please don’t let me stop; I love this challenge) I had my first messing around my friends at my new place last weekend for my housewarming party. We got chinese takeout and something in the food didn't sit right with my tummy, so I excused myself to the bathroom, squatted down, and did the deed in my diaper as I had no other option. I had the fan on to make some background noise. Afterwards, I cleaned myself up and changed into a fresh diaper that I had stashed under the sink. While the friends I invited over know I need diapers, they don't know about my messing cha...
