Changing in public is very, very easy once you figure out that nobody gives
a shit about you and your diapers. If you’re a girl, always keep a couple of
diapers in your purse for when you need to change. If you’re a guy, wear some
cargo shorts or shorts that have big extra pockets near the bottom and keep an
extra diaper in there. More info after the break!
If you’re a girl, changing a diaper in public will be easier for you because we’re used to changing pads/tampons in a public bathroom anyway, plus we have purses to hide our used diapers in until we can make it to the trash can, and sometimes we have trash cans inside each stall to make for easy disposal. In today’s society, it’s common sense and polite to not peek into a closed stall, so when you have to change your diaper, you don’t have anything to worry about. Besides, you’re never going to see these people again, so who cares if they accidentally see your diaper? They’re not going to care, and neither should you.
So when you get into the stall, you can either rip the tapes if you’re wearing pants, or you can simply slide it down your legs if you’re wearing a skirt. Ball it up and place your used diaper into a plastic bag, like the ones you get from Target or Walmart, then set it aside. Take your new diaper, put it between your legs, then pull the back part up until it sits where it would normally sit on your butt, then press your butt against the wall. Reach down and grab the front of your diaper and pull it up, make some adjustments if you need to, then tape up your diaper. You shouldn’t do it slowly either.
I know how scary it sounds peeling off those four tapes in a public bathroom, but I’ve done it so many times now that I don’t care anymore, and that’s what you have to do: stop caring what total strangers think of you. If they guess that you’re wearing a diaper, they might think of it once or twice, but then they’ll forget about it the next day and move on with their life as that memory slowly fades away.
See? It’s as easy as that! Practice at home, and you’ll be able to change fast in public in no time! When you’re presentable again, take your bagged diaper and make a beeline to the trash can, throw it out, wash your hands, then go about your day as you normally would.

I have gotten very good at diaper changing in public. I do recommend practicing at home in your smallest bathroom first. I had a few times, where my diaper slipped out of my grasp and slid down my legs, becoming visible to anyone looking at my socks and shoe tops.
